Make-up for Beginners
Carolyn has extensive experience of working in the make-up industry and has been responsible for the make-up of models, pop singers, actors, actresses and celebrities. Her work has appeared on CD covers, in magazines, fashion shows and in films. Some of the celebrities she has worked with include Lizzie Jagger, Jason Donovan, Kate Thornton, Marcus Patrick and Tara Palmer-Tomkinson,
Drawing on this extensive experience, Carolyn is pleased to offer the Master Class "Make-up for Beginners".
Content
This one-day Master Class is the perfect introduction for anyone wishing to learn how to put their own make-up on in a professional way or for anyone who is thinking of becoming a make-up artist and wants to learn all the basic skills. The day will consist of a mix of practical advice, demonstrations and "hands-on" sessions. With a maximum of 4 people per Master Class you can be sure of receiving plenty of one-to-one tuition from Carolyn.
During the class you will learn:
- How to work
with a full range of make-up brushes.
- What to look for in make-up
brushes.
- How to
choose and apply the perfect foundation.
- How to conceal problem areas
such as blemishes and dark circles.
- Defining lips and eyebrows.
- Blending eye shadows seamlessly.
- Creating balance within the face.
- How to create different looks such as "natural
day look", "smoky eyes" and "using bright colours".
- Applying false eye lashes.
- Course notes will be provided and these will include a list of make-up products needed to form a basic kit.

Cost
The course costs £175 per person and places will be limited to 4 students.
Booking and Payment
In the first instance please email Carolyn at carolyn@getmadeup.com to enquire about a place on the next Master Class. Carolyn will email you to confirm you have a provisional reservation. Your reservation will become a firm booking as soon as you pay in full. Please note that your provisional reservation will be held for 5 days from the date of Carolyn's email. If you have not paid after 5 days your reservation will be released.
When you have received an email from Carolyn confirming your reservation, please click on the Buy Now button below to pay. You will then be taken to PayPal's secure payment website where you be able to pay by all major credit/debit cards or PayPal.
Refunds
In the unlikely event that Carolyn is unable to run the Master Class you have booked, you will be offered an alternative date or, if that is not suitable, a full refund. Carolyn regrets that if you have paid and then find you are unable to attend, it will not be possible to offer you a full refund. However, you will be offered either a 50% refund or an alternative date.
